§ 551.074. Personnel Matters. Commissioners Court will meet in Closed Session to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.

Moved by Commissioner Prestage, Seconded by Commissioner McCoy
Duly put and unanimously carried (5-0), it is ordered to accept the resignation of Mark Flathouse as Emergency Manager/Fire Marshal serving as the Chief Administrator of Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management effective March 3, 2023. It is ordered to appoint Justin Jurek as the Interim Fire Marshal for a term to end on March 3, 2023 and authorize Human Resources to initiate a search for a permanent Fire Marshal.
